GOWNTOWN: The 6th Contest Ball

Buddies in Bad Times Theatre - 12 Alexander Street, Toronto
THE B-GIRLZ are back, with a whole new monthly night at Buddies in “B” Times. GOWNTOWN is a night of drag performers - “old”, “new” and “only on a dare” - who compete to become audience favourite and win a WIRE HANGER, $100, plus a $50 gift certificate from OUT ON THE STREET. (2nd place gets a dildo!).
“Fly” & “Straight” resident DJ & producer DWAYNE MINARD, gets your “hands up in the air” with chunky, funky disco/ house - and riding sidesaddle, “DJHK” (DJ Hard Kora).
Canada’s first and only all-male burlesque troupe, BOYLESQUE TO joins GOWNTOWN as “special guest”. A BOYLESQUE TO show is guaranteed to leave you hot under the collar, howling with laughter, and screaming for more!
Feisty singer/songwriter PAUL MANCHIN stops by for GOWNTOWN “AFTER HOURS” and shows how he integrates elements from soul, pop, R&B, electronica, hip-hop and dance.
Gowntown is held the 4th Friday of every month.
